Set Up a Kiosk

Use a dedicated Android device with Chrome, a working front camera, stable Wi-Fi, and continuous power. Place it on a stable stand facing customers.

Ask your administrator for:

  • the kiosk URL on the company’s own domain, ending in /kiosk;
  • a dedicated operator email for this kiosk;
  • the actual temporary password shown after that operator account was created.

The kiosk login accepts a password only. The email-code method available in the normal Operator workspace is not available here.

  1. Open the supplied kiosk URL in Chrome. If the sign-in page does not appear, add /kiosk/login to the company domain.

  2. Enter the dedicated kiosk email and password, and then select the sign-in button.

    The current kiosk interface is displayed in Russian. Ask your administrator to confirm the account if the sign-in attempt is rejected.

  3. When Chrome asks for camera access, select Allow. The kiosk uses the front-facing camera so a customer can present a QR code to the device.

  4. Wait for the live camera view and ready state. If Chrome denies access, follow Troubleshoot a Kiosk.

  1. Open Chrome’s menu and choose the available Install app or Add to Home screen action. The exact Chrome label can vary by Android version.

  2. Confirm the installation and open the new home-screen icon.

  3. Confirm that the kiosk opens directly at /kiosk in a standalone window.

  • Keep the device connected to power and stable Wi-Fi.
  • Enable Android screen pinning if the device supports it, and pin the installed kiosk app.
  • Set a fixed, readable brightness. The kiosk requests a screen wake lock, but Android settings should still prevent the display from sleeping if wake lock is unavailable.
  • Keep sound enabled if you want the confirmation beep. Always use the visible result as the source of truth because browser sound may be unavailable.
  • Position the stand so the front camera sees a customer’s phone without exposing operator controls.
  • Restart the device daily, reopen the installed kiosk, and confirm that the ready scanner appears before service begins.
